Re: [hr-wsis] SV: Re: Nominations to IGF Advisory Committee - Info

Hi Rikke and Meryam,

I can see that this would be a lot of work, and appreciate Meryam's reasons for declining.

Rikke does your message mean that you have already been proposed? Or just that we can now propose your name?

I assume there is consensus within the HR Caucus to propose Rikke. If anyone does not agree, could you please let us know? Otherwise, I would like to make sure that Rikke is or gets proposed as soon as possible.

Thanks, saludos, Ginger

Hi Ginger and all,

As far as I'm concerned, I am not willing to be nominamed to the MAG.
Reasons are:
- workload (I've my own job and (post-)WSIS involvement is only a
volunteering activity)
- funding (although no information is provided on this issue, I
assume there wont be any funding to attend meetings)
- I, personnally, have many reluctance to this MAG process (the MAG
itself as defined - in a pretty fuzzy way - by the IGF, and the
nomination process as a consequence of this definition). If I have
time, I should try to write down these thoughts and share them with
others.

Thank you very much for asking, anyway. I appreciate.
Best,
Meryem
