Re: [hr-wsis] SV: Re: Draft comments on political chapeau and op. part

Hi all,

Since our comments on chapeau+operational part will only be a written
contribution, we have time to finalize it, even after end of PrepCom2.

So there is still time for comments. Rik's comments will be taken into
account. I'd add also that trade unions groups, among them the
international federation of journalists - a caucus member - would like
us to add some wording on privacy at work, and this could be added at
the end of the para starting with : "Moreover, even in a developed
context, wherever surveillance, monitoring and censorship are
exercised...".

Another suggestion from the same group is to add a comment on para 11 of
the op. part, on the most relevant body to coordinate WSIS follow up.
The proposal is to favor anewly-created UN interagency option, and in
any case to avoid having ITU following up on WSIS.

Finally, I think we should finalize this contribution after prepcom2,
taking into account the final version of the document as amended by
governements.

Best,
Meryem
